PlayTeamPickleball Policies & Procedures
Overview
By registering and participating in the PlayTeamPickleball league, all members agree to abide by this code of conduct and uphold the values of sportsmanship, respect, and fair play. The League will investigate and take seriously any grievance or complaint where our Code of Conduct has been disregarded or disrespected. The League has the right to deny service or participation in teams or seasons. The terms will be determined on a case-by-case basis by the Management Team
Code of Conduct
- RESPECT: Treat all players, officials, and spectators with respect and courtesy, regardless of skill level or background.
- FAIR PLAY: Adhere to PlayTeamPickleball rules and the spirit of the game. Avoid cheating, arguing, or unsportsmanlike behavior.. Captains found adding non-rostered players into matches or engaging in any form of cheating will be removed from league play and forfeit entry fee.
- SAFETY: Prioritize safety at all times. Be aware of your surroundings, use appropriate equipment, and refrain from actions that could endanger yourself or others. Captains are asked to please bring first aid kits to league matches.
- SPORTSMANSHIP: Display good sportsmanship by congratulating opponents on good plays, accepting both victories and defeats graciously, and avoiding excessive celebration or taunting.
- TEAMWORK: Encourage teamwork and cooperation among teammates. Offer support and encouragement, and communicate respectfully during matches.
- CONFLICT RESOLUTION: Address conflicts or disputes calmly and respectfully, following league procedures for conflict resolution. Avoid escalating disagreements and seek resolution through mediation when necessary.
- INCLUSIVITY: Create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all participants, regardless of age, gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or ability.
- ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY: Respect the facilities and surrounding environment. Dispose of trash properly, avoid damaging property, and adhere to any environmental regulations.
- ALCOHOL POLICY: Use of alcohol will not be permitted during league play.
- PROFESSIONALISM: Represent the league with professionalism and integrity, both on and off the court while at the host facility. Uphold the league’s reputation through your actions, and conduct yourself in a manner that reflects positively on the sport and its community.
- REFUND POLICY: No refunds will be issued for players or teams withdrawing after the schedule has been released.
