2025 REGISTRATION:

PLAYER/TEAM ELIGIBILITY REGULATIONS

** The goal of these policies, as posted in the league regulations prior to the start of the Fall 2024 season is to ensure a fair/competitive playing environment for all teams playing in the E.C.C..  Fall league champions may have to play up or without certain players whose fall self-ratings were deemed out of bounds for the division played based on the PTPB algorithm (minimum self-rating).

  • E.C.C. minimum rating standards for each division:
    • Advanced – 3.8+
    • High Intermediate – 3.6 – 4.1
    • Intermediate Gender – 3.25 – 3.9
    • Low Intermediate – 3.0 – 3.75
    • Novice – 2.0 – 3.25
  • Players who participated in a specific division in the fall are only eligible to participate with that team in the E.C.C. if their minimum rating for the Spring 2025 team is compliant to the E.C.C. standards for each division listed above.  A rating buffer has been provided to accommodate reasonable increases of minimum ratings during the fall season.  This is designed to create equivalence with “real-time” ratings for successful Spring season players on Championship qualifying teams and ensure fair play at the E.C.C. for all qualified teams.
  • Fall teams may choose to “play up” at the E.C.C. if multiple players have non-compliant PTPB minimum ratings.  Or they may choose to play without these non-compliant players at the division they competed in during the Fall season.
  • A player may play on multiple teams in the E.C.C. as long as they are in different divisions.  No special scheduling will be afforded to these players so captains should plan accordingly with the number of players rostered for the E.C.C.
  • Teams who win in both the Fall & Spring leagues may accept 1 or both bids, depending on the number of players they have available.  A team cannot share players in the same division and cannot add additional players that were not on the official roster of the qualifying team.
  • A player must be registered online for the E.C.C. before playing in an E.C.C. match.  A player must have played at least 3 games (1 team match) in the local league to be eligible to participate in the E.C.C..  Registration will remain open throughout the E.C.C..
  • Teams are required to contest all matches scheduled at the ECC.  Any team defaulting a team match at the ECC will have all its team members suspended from PTPB immediately.  For the standings, all matches played by this team in the ECC will be posted as defaults.  ** Team defaults not only compromise the integrity of the competition they deny the other team of a guaranteed match they have paid for.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN YOUR CHAMPIONSHIP FEE?

  • Organized competitive play featuring teams from across the 7 local leagues. Each team is guaranteed 3 team matches.
  • Player hospitality area at each site including water and sponsor engagements.  The coliseum will have a concession stand open.
  • Team Awards for top two teams including Championship Banner for each winning team
  • Saturday early evening Player Party!  Details to be announced.
  • Optional event T-Shirt will be available for pre-purchase for $15.

REGISTERING A TEAM

REGISTERING A PLAYER

Players will need to sign-up specifically to compete in the East Coast Championship using the Championship Team Number provided by their team captain.  This Championship Team Number is given to the team captain from the league administrator once the team commits to participate in the East Coast Championship.  Players may register at any time prior or during the ECC and must be registered on the ECC team page to participate in a team match.
